Barcliff Avenue
A late 1800's farmhouse in top location over looking Black Pond and the Atlantic was in need of a complete renovation. The new owner saw the hidden potential and was up for a project. Plans were designed by Mark Williams for a complete restoration of the main structure as well as a 1500 square foot addition off the rear of the original structure, including a screened porch and wrap around deck.
Many steps needed to be negotiated through local boards including The Chatham Historic Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Chatham Conservation working together, a fine plan was developed that met the needs of the homeowner while preserving the structures unique history and character. The final product is a marriage of old and new blending seamlessly together without losing the character of the original 1800's farmhouse. Wide pine flooring, bead board, trim, and built-ins give character to the interior. Unique hand blown lighting fixtures and specialty tile found by the homeowner make it their own.
